HITS SIGNS DEAL WITH K1X TO BECOME THE NEW APPAREL SPONSOR OF THE LEAGUE

Hoops in the Sun signs deal with K1X to become the league's new apparel sponsor. Terms of the deal are undisclosed.

HITS FLASHBACK: STEVE BURTT, JR SCORES 59 POINTS FOR "THE FIRM" IN 2007 SPRING LEAGUE DEBUT

Over a year to the day, April 22, 2007, Steve Burtt Jr. participated in the innagural Hoops in the Sun Spring League with the team The Firm. Providing the fans with a live legal thriller, Burtt Jr. compiled 59 points, which is still a Spring League scoring record. He hit 10 three-pointers (five in each half) and was 16-29 from the field. He would then tally up 47 points two weeks later, giving him an average of 53 ppg for the 2007 Spring League.

He hasn't shown up yet for the 2008 Spring League, but you never know.

Week 2 of the 2008 Hoops in the Sun Spring League was just as hot, if not, hotter than week 1. The Men's and Youth leagues are getting more competitive as the weeks go by and it'll be only a matter of time before game start getting important, knowing that the playoffs are just a couple of weeks away.

SPRING FEVER: HITS SPRING LEAGUE GETS OFF TO A HOT START

Hoops in the Sun Spring League 2008 started this past Saturday, April 5th and what a day it was. Nine games, 10am till 8pm, competitive basketball all throughout. "Transformers" made their return to the court, Money Inc. cashed in on a victory and defending Spring League Youth champions B-Ballers started off their season 1-0. Games resume Saturday April 12th and Sunday April 13th at the Baychester Community Center.

"TRANSFORMERS" RETURN TO HITS ACTION WITH UPCOMING SPRING LEAGUE

The Hoops in the Sun Spring League returns this Saturday, April 5th at the Baychester Community Center. Youth and Men's Games will be held every Saturday and Sunday until May 25th.

Come out to see the return of the young and athletic dynamic duo, "Optimus Prime" and "Megatron".
